Happy New Year 2016!!


Hiiii, everyone! Happy New Year! o(≧∇≦o) It’s been two weeks since the last update and I just wrote “two years” instead, which would be pretty bad if it were true. O__O; Um, anyway! As you probably have noticed, the posting area has gotten bigger and one of the sidebars disappeared. I figured it would look nicer that way and I can make bigger and prettier preview pics now, which is always a good thing! Speaking of pics, I’m working on a new header too, since the current one is pretty autumn-y and I really want something snowy right now. ^__^

Soooo what happened with Tenkei Tales I? Nothing much, because christmas and visitors and… Splatoon. (Ugh, this game is seriously addicting. ∑(;°Д°)) Due to the fact that it’s already 2016, I decided I might as well complete the whole thing in one go, which means that the CGs will get included right away instead of sometime afterwards. This’ll take a little while, but let me announce this:

I’ll do my very best to release the fully completed game on January 31! (๑و•̀ω•́)و

Sorry for the wait! m(._.)m I kinda underestimated how loooong some things would take, especially with all this christmas stuff going on. (Would’ve really helped if I hadn’t gotten sick and felt super-crappy for a week too. T__T) My prediction for how much time I’d need for the sprites and charsets was actually pretty accurate, but judging how long it’d take to map everything was never my strong point. TTI’s maps certainly aren’t my first ones, but I still managed to miscalculate pretty badly. (⌣_⌣”)

Alright, let’s talk about 2016! This IS a New Year’s posting after all. (・・。)ゞ I’ve been contemplating a lot of things recently, and decided I’d focus on a second RPG Maker project next, as well as a small Visual Novel, which will probably get finished first.

The RPG Maker project is something I’ve promised a friend of mine for a long time now but never got around to complete. The story is already 100% finished and approximately 90% of the planning is done too, as well as most of the chara designs and rough map sketches! (The cellar is completely done already… SO MANY BOXES. “orz) This time, there’ll be several endings and a lot of different riddles and puzzles, ranging from the obligatory “find a key to that door” to “solve this riddle while you have to run for your life – and be QUICK because you need to save your companion too”. (°o°;) Um, well. It sounds mean but I’ll do my best to keep it fair!

The Visual Novel project is another thing that has been in the works for quite some time now. It was supposed to be last year’s NaNoReNo project, but I managed to miscalculate again and decided to postpone it, because I really wanted to release it in spring. It’s a little story about friendship, flowers and the fact that you should stay away from big festivals with lots of video cameras when you’re more or less on the run. ((*゜Д゜)ゞ” It’s not strictly a Kinetic Novel, but there’ll be only two endings, a good and a bad (or rather… “not-as-good”) one. The good ending has some variations though! ヾ(*・ω・)ノ

I’ll announce those two projects properly as soon as Tenkei Tales I is finished, but yeah… I’m really looking forward to resume work on them! (/^▽^)/ Ah, right… webcomics will return soon-ish too, just need to finish that new banner first. It really is about time our poor mascot got a proper introduction. ( ´艸`)
